Health & Wellbeing Forum 2018

Feathers of Hope is a youth-led initiative to facilitate a dialogue between youth, community, Indigenous leadership and government.

The three-day Health and Wellbeing Forum took place on October 30 to November 2, 2018 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The forum brought together approximately 100 young people from across Northern Ontario’s Indigenous communities to discuss the importance of personal health and wellbeing, nurturing culturally-anchored resilience and address the challenges Indigenous young people face related to their health and wellbeing.

At the conclusion of the forum, young people presented their recommendations to federal, provincial and Indigenous representatives on what is needed to promote a healthy way of life of Indigenous children and youth.
